Job Posting: Community Support Coordinator

Job title: Community and Administrative Support Coordinator (CSC), reports to the Operations and Finance Manager, and works closely with the Co-Executive Director

Location: Preference for the candidate to work from our Vancouver office, with possibility of Toronto or remotely from Victoria for the right candidate. We currently have small offices in Vancouver and Toronto and a remote team member in Victoria.

Compensation: This is a full-time position, 40 hours/wk with an annual salary starting at $42,420.00, plus generous benefits provided upon successful completion of probation period. Unionized with BCGEU.

The Role:
Leadnow is looking for a friendly, energetic, patient, self-directed Community and Administrative Support Coordinator with strong communication and organizational skills. This position primarily provides administrative support for Finance and Operations as well as for member and donor relations.

Core Responsibilities:

Administrative/Finance
  • Provide day to day administrative and bookkeeping support, including:
  • Receiving and processing invoices and expenses
  • Receiving and depositing cheques
  • Assisting with developing administrative systems and reports
  • Assisting with planning and logistics for retreats, meetings, and events

Donor/Community Support
  • Coordinate small donor stewardship activities, including processing and updating donations, communicating with donors, and working with other staff to support effective fundraising efforts 
  • Support effective communications with people from the Leadnow community, including answering phone messages, managing multiple inboxes and responding to emails
  • Troubleshooting member and donor issues with innovative solutions
  • Assisting Co-Executive Director with fundraising planning and resource development

Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience in customer service or related sector
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Trustworthy, reliable, able to maintain confidentiality
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new processes
  • Strong written and spoken communication in English, including a polite, articulate, and friendly phone manner
  • Friendly and positive outlook
  • Enjoys extensive email and phone communication as regular part of work
  • Tactful and open to understanding other perspectives
  • Confident problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-directed, self-starting work style
  • Ability to research information and summarize key details

Desired Attributes
  • Experience with small donor fundraising or in fund development
  • Experience with online systems such as Stripe, Paypal, iATS
  • Work experience with non-profit administration or fundraising is a bonus
