Yesterday marked the first day of a brand new Parliament. The Governor General kicked things off by delivering the speech from the throne -- the roadmap to the government’s priorities for the coming months and years.

Climate action was a top priority -- and you, the Leadnow community, helped make that happen after weeks of pressure to make sure that the promises we heard on the campaign trail were reflected in the government’s agenda.

It’s an incredible achievement, but we also know that words come easier than action, so we still have a lot of work ahead.

We need to make sure Trudeau’s Liberals commit to legislated targets, with a clear path to achieving them. It’s going to require big, meaningful investments to make the transition to renewable energy possible.
