On June 13th — just days after Big Oil CEOs have their own turn in the hot seat — Big Bank CEOs will appear before the House of Commons Environment Committee. The reason for their summons? To answer for their part in funding the climate crisis.

It’s a bank CEO’s nightmare. Even the smallest stumble could damage their brand or hurt their bottom line. But the hearing will be taking place in a stuffy room in Ottawa — and if we really want to put Big Banks on notice for their climate crimes, they need to know that the whole world is watching.

That’s why we have a plan to launch social media ads, uncovering the Big Banks’ dirty investments. If enough people see them, it could incentivize them to drop their fossil fuel funding — at the risk of damaging their reputation beyond repair.
