Over the August long weekend, over 25 hospitals across Ontario closed or scaled back operations. The average wait time to be admitted to a hospital is over 20 hours — a new record.^1,2

This crisis is spiralling out of control. And as healthcare workers beg for government support, the Ford government has offered no concrete solutions — in fact they've been missing in action.^3,4

The Ontario legislature is sitting for the first time since the election on August 8th.⁵ This is our chance to show both new and returning MPPs that the people of Ontario support healthcare workers and demand the government invest in our crumbling healthcare system.

We've been talking to medical professionals, nurses' unions, and healthcare experts and have an ambitious plan to ramp up the pressure on the Ford government. We’re going to flood the inboxes of Ministers, run geo-targeted ads on the news websites MPPs most commonly visit, and then plaster hard-hitting flyers on the streets around Queen's Park. They won't be able to ignore it — and as they sit down in Queens Park, they will know Ontarians are demanding real action.
