Despite claiming to be a global climate leader, the Trudeau government continues to greenlight the export of thermal coal — one of the world’s dirtiest fossil fuels.1

Earlier this year, the federal government effectively announced they're banning new thermal coal mines in Canada for good.2 But they're dragging their feet on banning thermal coal exports—that's coal that gets shipped from Canada all over the world.3

We need to make sure the government follows through to end thermal coal, once and for all. A massive petition, signed by tens of thousands of us, will prove to Prime Minister Trudeau and the Environment Minister that the public expects them to walk the talk of being a global climate leader. It could convince them we need to stop mining and exporting thermal coal for good.

Sign the petition now.

Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault:

End thermal coal mining and export now.

Thanks for adding your name to the petition. The bigger this petition gets - the more pressure Trudeau and Steven Guilbeault will be under to end thermal coal.

Will you share it now, and help spread the word?
